Over the past 20 years Katy has had the experience of managing large retail teams, training and developing for small startups to large brands. Due to the experiences in both the front-end sales and backend design development, knowledge comes full circle. In the past 5 years the 3D fashion landscape has been of focus. Learning all stages of 3D design to figure rigging and animation, as well as building computer systems to meet the needs of the work.

Katy has been integral in helping brands understand different challenges in 3D design as well as consumer interfaces. Helping companies to upscale workforces to understand body scanning, virtual fittings, and apps that are beneficial to consumers. The tools taught help brands become more aware of what kind of investment will be the most beneficial for the brand. Over the years KS Apparel design has helped brands dispel fact from fiction, and save money with proper IT investments and growth plans for design. The other aspect has been using 3D design to help possible startups gain a better understanding of branding and allows them to make the choice to begin a brand, or leave the idea for a product behind. Currently she has been assisting designers learn the programs, working with international colleges to assist staff with new curriculums, and etc.
